Algodon Mansion, Press...

Algodon Mansion appears in National Geographic Traveler, both on newsstands and in their on line edition.  We’ve also had mentions in about a dozen other publications this past month, including the online hotel review site HotelChatter.com.  The article’s headline asks this burning question of Algodon Mansion:  Is This The Hottest Hotel Staff in Buenos Aires?

The Algodon Newsletter, which is due out in a few weeks will give you a full rundown of the rest of our recent press.  In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this new photo of the mansion’s lobby.

AWE is featured in an 8-page spread of Tablet Hotel’s special edition “Top 10 New Hotels”!  We are one of their Top 10 new and unique hotel picks (selected from all of North and South America) for 2010.  The magazine is beautiful, with huge color pictures, great quality- it really looks amazing.  This special edition has a distribution of 180,000 printed copies going to frequent travelers and other hotels.  Digital downloads of this issue are approximately 120,000.  The feature includes interviews with myself and our Master of Wine, Anthony Foster.  

Algodon Wine Estates also appears in La Nacion Revista.  Here is a rough Google translation of that text:

Algodon Wine Estates Homesites Update

The following picture is the preliminary site plan for the very first homesite to be built (in the relatively near future) at Algodon Wine Estates:

Our Design Architect, Gerhard Heusch, and I are still in discussions regarding the design, but it looks like we’re strongly leaning toward an upscale Provence country manor or farmhouse estate with a classic stone façade- but modern interior.  I’ll share more once we’ve hashed out more of the details.

Wine & Wine Shops

Have a look at our new Malbec label.  Nice!

 Algodon wines sold well in Buenos Aires in 2009, and we think 2010 will be even better.  Many of the city’s high-end wine shops, who just recently began carrying our wines, have already made second or third orders of our wine for their inventory.  Algodon Wine Estates 2009 & 2010 harvests were impressive to say the least, and with our wine panel’s expertise, I believe we are going to see some incredible results. 

Algodon Wine Estates Extra Virgin Olive Oil is now available in one of these wine shops, and we’re working hard to get them on the shelves of the rest of them very soon, as well.
